NHS Hospital Referrals
Wigs for cancer patients and hair loss
Frobishers has been a supplier to the NHS for over 30 years, providing wigs for cancer patients and those suffering from hair loss, such as Alopecia. Frobishers work closely with NHS Trusts ensuring that patients get the very best service in a professional and friendly manner. This takes a variety of forms from holding wig clinics at hospitals, private consultations conducted at our shop, use of our online shop, and in some cases home visits to those who can’t make it to us.
We provide high quality wigs from a wide range of leading labels for both Synthetic wigs and Human Hair wigs.
How do I Use My NHS Prescription
Each NHS Trust has slightly different guidelines on the use of prescriptions. In most cases you are able to use your prescription against a wide range of leading labels. All patients who are referred to us from Ipswich or Colchester Hospitals will be contacted by a member of our team to arrange a consultation booking.
We are currently an approved supplier to:
- Ipswich Hospital (East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust) – for patients undergoing treatment at Ipswich Hospital most patients visit our shop here in Ipswich. Patients must have an appointment in advance before being seen at Frobishers.
- Colchester Hospital (East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust) – for patients undergoing treatment at Colchester Hospital, patients must have an appointment in advance to be seen at Frobishers in Ipswich. If travelling to Ipswich is difficult, patients can be seen at the Cancer Wellbeing Centre or the Collingwood Centre at the hospital. All appointments for this service must be made with Frobishers.
- West Suffolk Hospital – for patients undergoing treatment at West Suffolk Hospital most patients visit our shop here in Ipswich. Patients must book an appointment in advance by contacting Frobishers.
